As a special early Christmas present to fans, Ms. Grey has released two preview videos of her performing her original versions of “Coming Home, Part II” and “Words I Never Said” to Rap-Up! The tracks, along with her original version of “Love The Way You Lie” will be made available as a special EP entitled The Buried Sessions of Skylar Grey on January 17, 2012.

The Franchise, which is a Showtime original series based upon the San Francisco Giants’ 2011 season, featured “Coming Home“ in its premiere episode on Wednesday (July 13). At 9:30AM on July 9 (Saturday), the 14th Dalai Lama will be at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, DC to give a talk entitled “A Talk for World Peace”.

Whoopi Goldberg is set to emcee the event, while Ms. Grey has been invited to perform a special full-length solo version of “Coming Home”, along with cellist Michael Fitzpatrick, who will also perform. The event will be open for free to the public, with lawn-only seating available starting at 7AM – click below for the full details about the event.

Last night (June 22) on the latest episode of So You Think You Can Dance, contestants Sasha and Alexander performed their dance routine to Diddy-Dirty Money & Skylar Grey‘s “Coming Home”. The performance tells the story of soldier coming home from Afghanistan to his wife.
